Christmas is almost upon us. I have always personally seen Christmas as a stepping stone to 31st January! For those not sure of the significance of this date, not only is it my birthday (and a scary one in 2012) it is also the self assessment tax return deadline.
This year the deadline is more significant as HMRC has introduced a new penalty regimes meaning penalties are payable for late returns whether you have tax due or not. Therefore don’t delay, if you need help we are more than happy to assist but we do expect a bit more of a last minute charge once the inevitable HMRC January ad campaign kicks off.
We do of course have Christmas and new years just around the corner so myself and the whole team at Farnell Clarke wish all of our clients, friends and associates a very merry Christmas and a truly prosperous new year.
