Farnell Clarke launches new HR service for SMEs

Farnell Clarke Accountants and Business Advisors, based in Norwich, has launched a new HR division. The firm, which is the British Accountancy Awards Independent Firm of the Year for the East of England, has linked up with respected HR specialist Sue Buck to offer small and medium sized businesses in the region a range of personnel services.

“One of the things that makes Farnell Clarke so special is the relationships that we develop with our clients,” says Will Farnell. “We’ve found that many of the businesses we work with need professional HR support but are unsure where to go for good quality and reliable advice. Farnell Clarke clients can benefit from a range of HR support via the new service: from preparing employment contracts to a complete HR health check; from recruitment advice to support with a company or departmental restructure.

“Every business that employs people should know that their staff are their most important resource,” says Sue Buck. “But like every resource, staff need to be motivated, supported and managed effectively. Effective HR policies and procedures are essential, whatever the size and structure of the business. Farnell Clarke will be offering HR services on both a project or retainer basis; depending on the particular needs of the client. By committing to a regular monthly fee, clients can access one of three levels of service:

1) HR Helpline. A telephone and/or email advice service providing access to remote support, advice and guidance.

2) HR Support bank. Following an HR health check, Farnell Clarke will help to maintain existing systems and provide support, advice and guidance on people issues that arise: drafting policies and procedures as required; carrying out regular reviews of HR processes; providing employment law updates.

3) HR Implant. This retainer is designed for clients that require the regular support of an HR manager but do not need in-house resource. As part of the service, Farnell Clarke will set up, develop and maintain HR systems and provide all necessary HR services.
