The Farnell Clarke team got a fantastic early Christmas present last week when we were named Independent Firm of the Year - East of England, at the British Accountancy Awards.
For those of you who don’t know, the British Accountancy Awards really are a big deal in our profession so even being shortlisted was a massive achievement. But not only did we win the award for best independent firm of the year in the East, we were also runner up in the Best Independent Firm in the UK category. All the regional winners are put through for this award but there could only be one winner and in some rare cases, one highly commended.
Comedian Rufus Hound hosted the very glitzy ceremony which took place at The Brewery in London. We’re so chuffed because the judges recognised Farnell Clarke for our far from typical approach to accountancy and the way we use technology to help clients.
Being named Independent Firm of the Year for the East of England is hugely exciting for Farnell Clarke. It reflects the incredibly hard work of all the team and our continued investment in technology and processes that help our clients to thrive. Our whole ethos is about doing things differently from other accountancy firms so we’re thrilled that our far from typical approach has been formally recognised by the leading voices in our profession.
We operate a fixed fee approach so that our clients aren’t worried about asking us for help because of the fear of extra invoices. We strive to be a valued part of our clients’ businesses; critical friends who can challenge and make a tangible difference.
It’s been a year of big changes for Farnell Clarke, including our move to new premises and our re-brand and we’re excited about the next 12 months.
Thanks to all our staff, customers and partners who have helped to make us officially the best independent firm in the East of England and ‘almost’ the best independent firm in the UK.Back to Company news
