We get it, COVID-19 has knocked us all for six! No-one could have ever prepared us for this current situation but let’s make a positive out of a bad situation.
You started your business because you had passion or a goal to reach, don’t give up now. You’ve put so much into this, don't let COVID-19 win, or at least not without a fight.
So, what can you do now to make sure your business comes out the other side of this pandemic in the best possible shape?
Marketing has always been important in any business and something that we take seriously here at FC. Now is a good time to think about what you want your business to look like post pandemic. Does your current marketing need to shift?
Now you may be thinking, why is an accountancy firm telling me about marketing? We genuinely care about you and your business and we are passionate to see you not only come out of all this with a business, but a thriving business! What you learn about marketing now, and implement, will impact your finances in the future, and that’s why we care and that’s why marketing matters.
We’ve seen that businesses tend to fall into three categories and you probably fit into one of them.
Business is Paused
Has your business come to a dramatic halt? You’re unable to continue to trade temporarily? Don’t despair, remember this is temporary and there are things that you can be doing now to help your business once we go back to some sort of normality.
Business has Temporarily Changed
Have you had to tweak your business offering? Perhaps you were a restaurant and now you’re offering a delivery service for the time being. Or you were a high street retailer and now you’re taking online orders only.
Business is Booming
Perhaps your business is booming. Maybe you’re a delivery firm, or an online retailer, business is good for you right now. One of the problems you may be facing is having enough staff to meet the demands.
Whichever category you fall into there are things that you can be doing NOW to make the most out of this situation.
Remember if your entire team is furloughed, they CANNOT work in any way that could generate income. However, they can continue to do training (online obviously!).
We work with Karen Reyburn, owner of a marketing agency who works exclusively with accountants (likes us). Karen doesn’t usually speak outside of the accountancy sector, but she wants to help as many people as possible during this time, and we’re thrilled she has shared her knowledge and expertise exclusively for our clients!
We encourage you to take the time out of your day to watch the following video. No matter what category you fit into these tips will help your business.
We can’t stress enough that we are here to help our clients and any businesses that are needing some extra support right now. Please do drop us an email if you need some support or would like to book a call with our team. We’d love to hear from you!
